Here on the Farm...

The honeybees got bee pollen today.  Avalon is still doing well.  A few even flew around and protested my invasion of their winter home!  But I think all is well and despite feeling like Godzilla, I feel good about getting in there and getting food to them.  They are pretty high up in the hive so they might be running low on food.  Now they are buzzing away...a bit annoyed with me and the cold.  Even though it is about 50 degrees, they want to be close to 90 right about now!

Burt ventured away from the coop today and started exploring the yard.  He even had a bit of a run in with Aria...don't mess with Big Momma!

We've got our first woodpecker at the suet.  And I learned the call of the little downy woodpecker this afternoon.  Guess we never get too old to learn new stuff.

And the daffodils are up.  Might be time to start planting seeds.  Looking like the Groundhog might not predict six more weeks of winter!  We shall see!!
